You'll operate with growing autonomy, deepen your expertise in backend engineering, and contribute to PayPal's global payment platform. **Expected Qualifications** * 2\+ years of relevant backend engineering experience and a Bachelor's degree, OR any equivalent combination of education and experience. * Proficiency in Node.js for building backend systems. * Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and working within microservices architectures. * Working knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases, including basic schema design. * Familiarity with cloud\-native development, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies. * Ability to apply software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms to develop clean, maintainable code. * Strong collaboration, problem\-solving, and communication skills with a focus on delivering quality software. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with Node.js in a professional or academic context. * Familiarity with GraphQL or other modern API technologies. * Experience with Express/NestJS (Node.js) frameworks. **About the Team** The Consumer Engineering team powers the experiences that millions of PayPal customers use every day to send, spend, and manage their money safely and effortlessly.
